 Front page headlines in my local paper today. The cities of Cherryville-Lincolnton-Stanley-Mt. Holly & Matthews North Carolina can Expect CSX trains speeds of 25 mph currently increase to 35 mph on July 15th-then increase again on July 22nd to 45 mph and on July 29th to 49mph--The Reason=More Trains are going to be coming through daily. Rising Buisness needs and increased customer demand are also a factor. Average trains per day now is 18 and the increased number is at this time unknown. CSX is working with Police depts in everytown beginning on Monday July 9th. They are going to be setting up roadblocks daily to give out fliers to let everyone know. The article also stated that trains would be slowed for each towns annual Christmas parades and Fall and Spring Festivals. I will try to get some video shot in the next weeks and posted.
