Seller wants $100 on Craigslist. I am tempted because it has stuff I've not seen
before. Thinking about a low ball offer of $35. Anybody know what the background
on this is?

IGA is also in UsA Though I have not seen this set in any shops.
Discovered chain in coincidentially 1997.

Also despite having several stores in countries it is an independent from the other stores

Basically one store may carry products that another a few miles away does not

100.00 is more or less retail price

Mike strikes again, with major cooldom.

Well, that intrigues me. I'll toss some bait in the water and see what bites.
I really need this like another hole in my head.

Oh, that's crazy. Now the Busss will put me onto collecting
HO railroad promo sets. That is just too cool. Oddly, I've
never heard of the Puerto Rico National Railroad, before.

Oh, eat my words...

I believe IGA is a "franchised" thing? Different supermarkets basically license the name I believe.

Also since they cut track maintaince the trains had huge trouble making over the railroad by the end

Interesting. Well, no one on eBay or Craigslist has responded to my
low bids yet. Yeah, in an ideal world it's worth a ton, but in real life
who buys this goofy stuff besides me? As it is, a Goodyear Commemorative
Set went for $31 after about eight bids. Which is maybe a good thing,
as I am getting this weird desire to start buying up goofy commemorative
sets.

By Train Miniature 2 different reefers were made. One is a wood reefer the other steel. For many years an IGA was here in Berger Point. It closed around 10 years ago the property is being preloaded for a large hi-rise housing complex.
