I wish everything worked as nice as this Stewart Alco. Got it some moons ago, and
since then it went from ATSF, to a passable N de M, and most recently reincarnated
as Penn Central. I gather "Stewart" is a trade name of Atlas??

stewart was bought by bowser some years ago. I don't believe they ever did an Alco switcher though they did a nice RS3 kit.

That looks like an Atlas/Roco S2 to me. Does it have a metal framewith handrails attatched, and a removable hood rather than a complete body shell? If so, that's an Atlas.

Chops, to the best of my limited knowledge, Stewart was taken over by Bowser a number of years ago. Happy New Year, Richard in Vermont.

Oooo la la! Catford Ken put me on to my first Trix piece, and I was astonished at how
strongly engineered it is, and how simple it is to maintain- like it was actually designed to become
a cherished heirloom. I simply love it. I imagine Fleischmann is much the same.

Jeff, Kenny is a good man and has helped me alot. The only Trix I have is the Adler set. It is still like new in its box and runs fine. Did you post the new Trix piece you have? What is it? As to fleischmann They are good runners also, very smooth.
