Thanks. Pre-history fascinates me, and I try to wiggle in some representations of ancient British sites. Britain is particularly interesting, because the whole island is like a giant Dagwood Sandwich of some of the most astonishing sites on the planet. People are routinely busting open ancient goldwork, Roman villas, and Viking sites just by digging a hole in the ground. Sutton Hoo, which was an untouched lump of a hill sticking straight out of a flat field had been there for 1500 years before some started digging at it, and uncovered an entire Viking ship and some of the most intricate golden artwork ever seen. The Catford Urns is a pun on this phenomenon, inspired by our friend Catford Ken who has contributed some of the best pieces to "Henley."
