This week's post is an upscale car, I bought this a couple of Saturdays ago when I visited an old hobby shop that had re-opened in a new location. He had the AMC Javelin slot car, both in the famous R/W/B paint scheme, and a yellow one. I went for the RWB. :) 1/43 scale, not my usual, but it's an A_M_C, so I had to get it. The shop owner is planning on building a 1/43 scale track upstairs, so I may have to go out and run my Javelin, and a Womp-Womp Gremlin I have as well. Anyway, no Tyco this week.

Nice car and truck guys
The blue and silver tipper is less common that a lot of the color schemes for this model
Jerry I think that Scaletric car will be a little big on a 1/43 scale track, as all Scalextric is 1/32 these days.

Heh, yup, you're right, this is 1/32. I forgot. Been that long since I looked at these size cars.

We sometime run 1/24 scale stuff with LGB trains and people come up to us and tell us it is Saclextric. Last time we had some Saclextric on display next to the 1/24 to illustrate the diffeerence!

Here's another Tyco Chaparral I modified a few years back. This one was made specifically for the Atomic Lake layout.
