Yep, you read correctly - I now have moved from hosting my model railroad videos on Vimeo to YouTube.

Please keep in mind that I'm not new to YouTube (I've used an account in the past for school purposes.)

There were 2 major reasons for the transfer. For starters, my "free" Vimeo account was rapidly losing storage space (99% on the latest upload). Secondly, upon trying to embed the latest video into the Ephrata Valley Railroad website, I promptly received an error stating that certain tags in Vimeo's video embed code did not correspond correctly with Google Sites.:( I never received this error before....

So, I researched and realized that a free YouTube account basically has unlimited space, and advertising is only placed on videos if A) the owner decides to "monetize" the videos or B) the video contains copyrighted content. However, I can completely ignore ads by inserting the YouTube link into: https://safeshare.tv/

Therefore, I swiftly set-up a YouTube account this afternoon, and miraculously uploaded 37 videos within a few hours (giving credit where credit was due on certain videos with soundtracks, of course - right in the information window.)

My "RP Model Railroads" channel link is as follows: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC5z5ATY6893Iw1eyEuUWLzw/featured

If any of you guys have YouTube accounts where you frequently post-up videos of your layouts/trains, please feel free to subscribe, and I will do the same for you! Trust me, I have no intentions of becoming a "YouTuber," but rather now am pleased to have an account that will serve to host all of my model railroad/train related videos, without hassle.

"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in Heaven." - Matthew 5:16
