One cannot come across lamp posts and not be reminded of Walt. These examples were discovered at the Toy Train Depot in Alamogordo, NM on a recent road trip, and were apparently overlooked by the Lamp Master, Walt, himself.

Double dipping, I finally moved the Church Yard to this part of "Bamburgh." Church yards can be restful, contemplative places. I will add a couple of Weeping Willows to the mis-en-scene. Viking ship excavation under construction in former corner of church yard.

Thanks Mustang, I'll post it "On The Workbench." Only glued my fingers together once, today. Thatch cottage will be getting some touch up. On the Work Bench is under thread header of Customizing and Kitbashing.

I notice two things about the church. First, it looks like 12th century architecture. Second, there are only a couple dozen graves in the church yard. People in Bamburgh apparently live to a ripe old age. Must be the healthful effect of all those trains zooming by.

It is also noted that the mortality rate of people over 100 is rather low. I believe the church is modeled after this one from the Isle of Wight which lies off the West coast of Scotland. It is said the the McNeal clan emigrated from there in or about the 1830's into Pennsylvania, most particularly the Altoona region, to find new hope.

Not having looked for this church before, I see now that I need to relocate the denizens once more to the front of the church. One is impelled to walk through the church yard to contemplate the hereafter.
