Here's my COTW offering:
A big shout-out to thesiding, for 2 great transactions recently! This Santa Fe piggyback flat car was essentially obtained entirely from him - with both trailers from transaction #1, and the piggyback flat car from #2. Thanks thesiding.

I would post a pic of my car of the week if the forum would allow it. I cannot even upload it to my gallery.
Anyway, I went to the York, PA train show. With a specific purpose, I wanted to find the little Javelins and Cameros that I've seen on here.
I found a sealed Auto Loader Car with Javelins and Cameros. (blue tinted windshields, too).
Yay me.

My car of the week is actually two cars. Gilbert C&O operating hopper # 33835 is listed on the Gilbert site. C&O hopper 35785, also a Gilbert car is not listed. So, I must have a unlisted, uncataloged C&O hopper. I wonder if it is a rare car. frank

Frank, catalog number 35785 refers to the number on the coal unloader accessory made from 1960-63 and would designate that car as belonging to that accessory. The 33835 was available only as separate sale add on car and was available from 1961-3. I took pics of NOS examples of both to show the accessory that goes with the cars. The separate sale car is the harder to find car.

I understand but it is a Gilbert car with a gilbert number on it, and it isn't listed as a car in the gilbert site.

It's listed under accessories since it was part of the accessory. I'm not sure why Dale has it that way, I'll mention it to him.
Here's a link to the 35785 listing...

Those Gilbert cars are quite sharp looking, C&O always looks good on hoppers it seems. Trucks on the top one are.... perplexing, though. Why make then so short when scale trucks obviously existed?
sim-al2 Also since they cut track maintaince the trains had huge trouble making over the railroad by the end 純那 yeah They did a Rock Island volountarily

Piggy backing of RP's thread, got out to run some trains last night with Jimmy and the Boys, and enjoyed how well this Mehano piece rolled:

Nice TOFC, Chops. This is closer to scale proportions than the Tyco trailers, for instance. Those are a bit small.
I will say, though, that I drank some Cherry Coke the other day and was not outraged by it.
