Nice nighttime shot, walt!

Here's my BOTW offering:

Three Tyco under-construction homes, which look perfect in the construction scene on the edge of Ephrata.

You're correct that both the excavator and the crane are Matchbox, but the dump truck is actually Matchbox Lesney Superfast, from the 1960's.

Don't believe me , here's an Ebay listing of the exact truck--

I love it RP: totally got the Tyco look. Battle of the Minds
when it comes to Matchboxes! Has Micro met his match??

Nice use of the shrubs between track and buildings to
expand the scene visually. I will try exactly that on my
layout.

Yeah, actually, when I searched for "Vintage Matchbox dumptruck HO-Scale," it brought up a yellow dump truck manufactured by Zylemex that looked like an imitation Matchbox-Lesney. So, I can see the confusion in distinguishing between the two....

Wow, I've never been a Matchbox collector, but this is a pretty
interesting exchange of knowledge. Way back in the day, I
remember my first Matchbox really well. It was like this
mauve convertible thing, and I don't know where it came
from, and I think either doors or the hood or something
opened. As we walking down Tverskya Street, in central
Moscow, USSR, I remember rolling it along the walls of
buildings. Probably the only kid in the Soviet Union that
had one.

Yeah, it was an interesting childhood: some kids went to
Disneyland, we went to the USSR. This in 1964 of all the
times to be there.

Actually Matchbox Superfast was not from the 60s unless it was the last two years. I have not looked it up yet...

No, it sure wasn't a Superfast. It had regular black matchbox tires.
The Hotwheels things didn't come around until the mid 60's, and
they were like re-inventing the wheel for us.

Matchbox started in 1953!
Superfast happened in 1969 as a response to the faster Hot Wheels

Ah, that's the difference. Hotwheels vs. Superfast. I think I remember
Hotwheels before '69, maybe it was 68...

Actually, I believe it was that particular Ebay seller who classified it as "Superfast", but in reality, I know for a fact that it is a Matchbox Lesney.
