Sean, Is that the original box for the bridge section? IMP, Internation Model Products did import brass items of that type in the 1950's. People loved using IMP boxes to store other stuff in. It could be an original IMP product. If it says made in Japan on it somewhere, it probably is one.

This week I found the dome accessory for my Sampson Observation car. These were sold
separately and are very hard to find.

International Models was also one of the importers of Treble-O-Lectric trains (OOO scale), made in England and the real start of my model railroading obsess...er...interests in 1962.

They went out of business in 1966 or so.
