https://youtu.be/OrargBXfhIg I would encourage other TFers to shoot some viddy of their favorite trains. Add on a little music on You Tube. Free and easy- just remember to list the end product as "public," which I saw often forget.

The crummy and the pulpwood. Two of my favorite pieces. Ooops, and the AHM 3 bay hopper!

What's the black Penn Central end cab on the front? Alco S2? Also, you're probably happy to hear I have several PC era projects on the table (so many projects, so little time)
sim-al2 Also since they cut track maintaince the trains had huge trouble making over the railroad by the end 純那 yeah They did a Rock Island volountarily

Itsa PC state of mind, Pokemon...basically, besides growing up in the shadow of the PC and its eminent downfall, I am intrigued how at the end the dispatchers would cobble up some of the most unusual lash ups to move its sadly dilapidated cars- switchers on point, etc. I guess I admire the last-gasp determination of the railroad and its people, fighting the inevitable odds, trying to make it work even though the end loomed in sight.
Another little known reason why the PC collapsed so utterly into bankruptcy: the corporation borrowed money so it could continue to pay dividends on PC stock, even though the cash flow was negative. Under the auspices of the PRR, it had paid stock dividends for over a century. They literally went for broke, even though everyone knew they were sunk.
