They are remnants of Clementine and Golden Eagle sets in mint condition, showing no signs of ever having been run. None of the operating accessories have ever been taken out of their boxes The Life-Like equipment appears to be the only ones that have been run and that very little. It comes with two 1979 catalogs and all related paper work. Even better as this was not all of what was there. My assistant is a modeler as well and we split the lot.

Sometimes folks moving from their apartments leave things for us to toss or keep for ourselves when they turn in their keys. It saves them the trouble of doing it themselves. In ten years in the business, I've had them leave antiques, electronics, militaria, DVDs---even two complete Carl Goldberg Eagle 63 R/C airplane kits---but I've never had anyone leave trains.

Nice acquisition. Are you going to set up the operating accessories?

Oh yeah...miniature M&Ms every Christmas for the rest of the gold mines life. I just wrestled the gon with the original Nite-glo pipe load from my assistant (something about job security got mentioned[;)]), so the loader is now complete. The stake body trailer rig is part of the loader as well so that removes it from my kitbashing calender. The grade crossing is cool but a part of Tyco history I'll never warm up to. They'll both probably end up as trading wampum as they don't capture my fancy as much as the conveyor does.Edited by - shaygetz on June 07 2007 8:50:18 PM
