Get to start this weeks LOTW with a couple of Pocher 2-4-0s. These were of the 1974 production type.
This is the Belfast & Moosehead Lake Railroad.
This is the York & Peachbottom Railroad.

That could be a kit bashed Varney Kit, the boiler looks like the one they used for their 4-6-0 "Casey Jones" locomotive.

Definitely not a single part on this is Varney. I have enough and seen enough Varney locomotives pass through my hands in the past several years to know it is not Varney for sure. It is shorter (length and height) than the Varney 4-6-0 and 2-8-0 locomotives.
Sad part is, I know I have seen this before, at least once. and it was listed with a manufacture name associated with it. I almost want to say it is a DJH kit, but I am pretty sure it is not.

It almost looks like one of the Boyd GB&W 2-6-0's. DJH did import them at one time as per HO Seeker.

Brings to mind that one of my favorite published track plans is a shelf layout for B&ML in Model Railroader's old book 101 Track Plans. The real ones of these old times are a favorite style, era. Wish there had been more various ones to be had back when I was more able to do the work.

Dan! You are correct! There is one listed on eBay now and it is a match! The listing says it is a N&KC Keyser of England however. No mention of DJH. Wonder if they took over production?

* Good work Sean. Well, now this Mogul has challenged our group's ability to recall things we have seen. Things we know we have seen. I to have seen the D&H kit for this Mogul, though couldn't recall the company's name. I have built the D&H New York Central Hudson kit and do remember it being offered with 2 different tenders. The reason I am says this is it came with a sales flyer showing other locomotives being offered by this company, to the public. In this flyer, I remember there being info or the Mogul in question. Now that company, D&H, from what I have seen is now gone. As Sean says this new company named, N&KC Keyser of England, did rerelease this Mogu again. When I don't know. It definitely is in appearance a model that would fit into most of our railroads very nicely. So now as Saen has already done, this Mogul has been put on to my list of Locomotives I hope to find someday. I do hope it runs as good as it looks. Maybe Sean can tell us about how good, and smooth a runner this little mogul is? frank
