Wow, that is a world class Varney tanker collection, TT. I do believe I have one Varney tanker in my midst. She was doing great until she threw a bolster bolt, now I have to find that odd size to re-assemble it.

Memories from one of my last visits to the New York Society of Model Engineers layout a special train set need to be seen again. A photo of a special fan trip around their layout. The train is carrying many well known railroad-loving fans. Sitting in those open gondola cars. Open to the winds. These railfans uncomplaining sit through the long trip around the layout. I wish I had a clearer photo. To make recognizing these important individuals. frank

I'll do two sets this week. Here is my US Navy set. The 2 flat cats have been dropped off somewhere and a new work caboose can be seen at the rear of the train with the new Navy crates on a flat car. frank
