Have not been very active on the forum or in Tycoville. The last two weeks has been a nightmare as my wife has a horrible staff infection. Surgeon told me it was 10-15 times worse than a normal infection. Not sure what the outcome will be.

The infectious disease doctor wrote her off on Friday morning (last week) claiming her prognosis did not look good because she wont wake up. She had been asleep for two weeks after arriving at the hospital. That same Friday, evening...she started to come to some. and has progressed in waking up daily now. After 3 surgeries, two knee and one spine to remove infection, that same doctor today delivered a good bunch of info claiming just a little infection remains in her leg. He said that was ok and said the upper body is what he didn't want the infection in. Other doctors said it may take months, and possibly a year to fully regain strength. Still on a vent tube that will be applied as a trachea soon. Still a very sick woman but it was a good morning with the doctor who seen the progress over the last week. She still can barely move with IVs, vent and feeding tube etc. But today seems a little brighter for the future...
