Thought I'd post this new thread. I'll bet not too many people can post here, as I collect multiple scales, and most people have only one. But I thought it's be fun to show what I have, and maybe a few of you have something similar.
Basically the concept of this post is to post NEAR IDENTICAL cars or engines that are twins in (almost) every way except size. Most of mine will be O / HO gauge pieces. Here we go!

Starting this post off is one of my beloved pieces, the BL-2 engine. I just acquired the O gauge engine before Christmas, and I knew I had the HO version already. Took me awhile to dig out/find the HO version, I just found it on Saturday in the basement, so took it to work on Monday to get the photos, as the O gauge is currently at my office. The HO is an AHM, and the O is a Williams / Bachmann.

This next pair of O / HO both happen to be by Lionel. Lionel duplicated some of their O gauge cars in HO, the giraffe car being one of them. Took me awhile to find an affordable HO versoin on Ebay, I finally lucked out a few years ago and got it for $10. The O gauge I got out of my shop's trash, they threw it out because it had a broken spring. Really?! Their loss, my gain. Ok, technically not the same color, but since it's an action car, and rather unique, I'm going to make an exception here to the "identical except for size" requirement. if it's specialized enough, I suppose color variations can be overlooked for this post.

This next one I"m posting courtesy of my fellow train shop employee, John. He owns the O gauge SF boxcar, and we were going through a new HO lot the shop had just bought, and there were a whole lot of HO Marx in this box, and he found the matching HO version. Not sure if he's gonna buy it or not. He likes the HO Marx cars alot, as do I.
Anyway, so here's three postings of "twins" for your viewing pleasure, hopefully I'm not the ONLY guy on here with some twins. Same gauge doesn't count, sorry! Must be of different scales to quality to post here. I hope this won't be an orphan posting from me only. Lets see who else has something to offer here.

Nice! Triplets! I don't have any of those at the moment. Twins is all I have. Nice post, Wks. I like them. Glad I'm not the only one out there with duplicate cars in other scales. I think this will be a fun post.

Back home I know I have at least 3 pairs, each an N scale car with a matching HO car. Might be fun to try and find them sometime

looking at the giraffe cars I think the giraffes are the same size!
oh the HO giraffe can be used with a magnet between the rails if you don't have the Ducking Mechanizm

Forgot I had both of these, one was at work in a display case, the other I picked up a few years ago at a cool antique stop. Both are Lionel, HO and O gauge cars.
