** Looking for who made these cars and when. They are European, possibly German or Austrian. A box car, gondola brakeman car, and a flat car.
frank

Box car.

Flat car. The load was made by COX for a lumber yard they made.

Gondola car. I was surprised this tyco load fit so well

Only identifying mark is on gondola floor.

Pico (PIKO) - Eastern Germany! ca. 1950.
The logo on the gondola certainly means "Chemnitz - Germany" where the first factory was.

Great info Erich. I was hoping you would pop in and have a answer. Pico (Piko) East Germany. 1950'ish. I seen all 3 cars on the E-bay link once I opened it. Now all I got to do is shape the missing coupler parts and fix the couplers.
Thanks Erich !

East German. Fascinating bit of history, that. Think I read somewhere
once that under Soviet rule, model railroading was encouraged- largely
to keep people distracted from the generally wretched state of affairs.
I've heard of "... opiate for the masses," but not "model trains for the
masses."

I have a few Piko units myself.
Great runners, with a very complex directional lighting system.
