Great win! I wouldn't necessarily call it wacky though (although the premise of the set is.) It is actually a pretty neat piece of Varney history. Of course, it could just be that I am wacky enough to appreciate it!
Happy railroading!

| Too cool...ol' Gordon Varney didn't forget the kids. That yellow tube is the battery box for power, I'm assuming?

hey,
Someone earlier in the year wanted to know about this particular set...
My comment was..."Imagine that, We can create worlds like gods. Then we can have this set and play Godzilla."
Nice win!
John
I don't have a one track mind. It depends on the turn-out. "I love your catenary!" Is that a power-trip or just another pick-up line?

Hey Guys:
Bit of fun Vintage HO! Cost wise I figure well, a couple of BLT's and a couple of pints of Ale at my favourite Pub with a friend cost about that much and it's gone next visit to the chamber of ablutions so,....
This is fun and gains value... I have a second one of these Varney Burlington engines available, btw. I'd say reasonable shape if someones interested and wants pics? (Caution I'd be using a Palm Pilot to take the photo's so don't expect "GIC" quality!) They can run on a transformer as long as the power is kept below 10V
