I found these shells. They appear to be aluminum. Some of them have wood floors.
No markings whatsoever. Hopefully, BNSFIA will take them off my hands at cost of
postage. I hate throwing stuff like this away when I know someone can make something
out of it.

Are the sides fluted? The graininess and that paint makes it hard to tell.

GONE to Mr. Chevelle.

Back story on those shells is they came out of a model train estate a
year back. This fellow, and I actually met him briefly, once, spent a
lifetime collecting absolute tonnage of what is now vintage model rail kits
with the idea that he would spend his retirement building his dream layout.

Regretably, his health suffered badly from decades of heavy smoking
and he never realized his dream. So Chevelle will in a very
real way carry the torch and make it happen.
