| The set is not in its original form. It has an extra combine added to it. The second combine is a factory error. Check out the Photos. My Guess, $!50.

Look again, both combines appear the same length to me...the only difference is the paint defect on the center combine. The long cars would be American Flyer bodies, but they only came in B&O and CP.
Nice set regardless. I'd guess the price at $200.

There are times, when I have to wonder if we are bidding against, Bill Gates
or something. It is a gas, however, to get cheap Tyco. I read somewhere
a psychological study where it was determined you get the same thrill
for buying something for $5 as opposed to $50. PC hoppers, for example...

It usually is in these cases. Two collectors with deep pockets and employing the autobid option, running the price up crazy high (and also upping faster than someone manually bidding can hope to keep up with). I hate collectors who do this, because it's not just rare items they do this on. No, they do this even when with the kind of money they have they could have gotten the item from a BIN listing (for cheaper than what they wound up bidding) and not steamrolled people without the same kind of funds or speed

| To be honest, $337 is a fair price for it considering it's rarity. I don't think we will be seeing many more of those boxed sets for quite some time.
