A Personnel Challenge.
This week I'm starting with something I did just to see if I could make something decent out of the very bottom of the Plasticville line. The four store front buildings of the Supermarket, Post Office, Hardware Store and the 5&10 always struck me as the most toy-like of the line. Here I took the first two and did my best to make presentable structures of them. First I ditched the roofs added a foundation to raised them up. The PO got steps, the supermarket a new door. After that is was paint, signs and details. What do you all think, a success?

Holy Smoke, Batman! I'd always liked the old Plasticville
for its clunky looks, but had no idea she could clean up
so good!

Thanks guys, I guess they were a success.
Microbusss, The one on the left IS the Post Office, I have the gas station (no tower variety) waiting with ENCO decals. I haven't picked up the Hobby Shop.
I'm afraid these may be the last new builds I do for a while. The Fox River Valley Railroad appears to be coming to an end as it now exists. Hopefully to be built bigger and better at a new location. Don't worry I have lots of contributions to BOTW you guys haven't seen yet.

Nice photos Gary. This one a Bachmann N scale station.

Built in the 1970s as part of their built up structures.

Neat buildings everyone. That N scale station is a dead ringer for the Atlas HO one. Are you sure that's a Bachmann?
Microbuss- I can't imagine how I would detail the bus station but not build it. I would certainly make a reference to Greyhound's badly named 'Terminal Food Service'

And yet, that wasn't the UP'd biggest. That one had a capacity of 650 tons of coal, but the one in Pocatello could hold 900.

What's amusing about that model is the packaging: That's a model of the Cheyenne bunker.. but one of the locos shown using it is a Dreyfuss Hudson.
