Interesting Corkey's. Never seen one, but may have seen the occasional ad in older Model Railroaders. Any idea as to its vintage? Don't see this one often.
Attached is a Pemco L&N unit with a freelanced, brush painted caboose. I know nothing of the L&N, but was intrigued by the paint scheme, evoking a Confederate past.

Nice photos Mike and Jeff. This one is a set showing the two teams participating in The World Series.
This week one of those teams will finally win the Big One.

These are some nice little sets. Well, the circus train isn't quite so little. Would love to see a certain mammoth of a set show up in this thread one day though ;)

A Locomotive I recently got from Ray. It fits nicely with a three car passenger set making a old Tyco train set. Thanks Ray. frank

Nice Mantua Southern "Pacific". Got one just like it, they're great engines.
That Pemco is very interesting. I've been wanting to get one to try this theory of mine but I believe they will drop in to Tyco 430 shells. I'm pretty sure Pemco used the same molds Tyco did.

You might be right on that, Kristofer. The design of Pemco is startling similar to Tyco, down to the crummy PT motors, although this one is still working well (but I don't push it beyond four cars and a caboose, either). I would have thought they are some variant of Tyco, except from what I read they were competitors of Tyco into the late 80's, early 90's, and disappeared sometime after about five years. The catalogue I saw sported a rather slender array of accessories.

Gorgeous sets. I had a Corky's set way back when, long since gone.
Zelda - I assume you're referring to the Walthers Circus train?

He could also be talking about "The Mammoth of the Rails" from Tyco!

kristofer got it. Specifically, I'm talking about the 1976 version with the Chessie 4-6-2. Be nice to have a hi-res photo of it out there on the net

One of the sets of Grant Hobbycraft cars I received . CN green and gold. When I looked more closely at them, I found that one is an American Beauty. There are two "Melville" sleepers, and one is not the same as the others. Evan

That's a nice set. And those diaphragms are beautiful. They flex and compress like the real deal in curves

I really want one of those. I've been looking for the Chessie Pacific and I see them every blue moon but they tend to go for more than a Tyco Pacific should.
