My Set of the week is this TYCO crane and boom tender in mint condition. Box has shelf wear, and the styrafoam is gone. But the wheels have no marks on them, and the plastic band is still around the boom car, which is complete. Even the crank is there!

That Tyco Classic is da bomb, Chevelle. I got one when I was ten, and it was cool as heck. Thanks for sharing.
This vintage photo dates from about 1968 or so, when the El Paso Model Train Club was located in a building downtown. I think he also has a thing for crane cars.

My SOTW is an 60s Tyco General set. This is the special order set as it has the smoke unit in the loco. Had to find the combine separately, but no problem there,

The wiring for the smoke unit.

I'm gonna have to do some restoration on the loco, but am happy I finally got one.

I WANT A GENERAL!! lol.
I have the same crane I got in a lot. Had to unravel the twisted cables and it's missing the crank. Had a Rock Island one when I was a kid.
Yesterday's kids are today's Tyco collectors.
