any idea what loco this drive train belongs to thanks ken
New, HO Scale Athearn Diesel, Twin Bogie Motor Drive, suitable for HO/OO and runs well.

Motor:
12v, 5-Pole, Flat Can Athearn Motor fitted with double brass flywheels and x4 fixing holes on the underside of the motor.
Motor shaft length = 9mm front & rear (3.2mm (1/8") diameter shafts)
Length = 22.2mm
Overall length including flywheels = 81.2mm
Diameter = 23.6mm
Across flats = 17.8mm

Bogie Drive Units:
Wheel diameter = 12mm (RP25 wheel profile)
Bogie wheel centres = 23.5mm + 23.5mm
Bogie wheel base = approx. in-between 135mm and 142mm
Bogie length = 61mm
Bogie overall height = 37.5mm

That's a tough one.
Without a chassis ( with part # ) it would be a guess.
I've never looked to see if trucks come with part numbers.

Yes it's hard to say for sure, but I would say based on the length and the 3-axle trucks that it's a U28/30/33C.

That was the genus of Irv's later blue box and RTR products. Except for the small switchers all the motors were the same. The road unit B trucks were the same and the C trucks were the same. Only the frames, truck side frames and drive line length were different. The drive train could be a C truck U Boat or any of the EMD SD UnitS. You could pull a truck off of a Sd40 and put it on a U36C then swap the side frames.
