Starting this week off with my latest score. A President's Choice "Insiders Express". I paid $50 (maybe a bit too much as it has no track or pack), but this is the second set produced, and has a nice IHC/Mehano 2-8-2. Not the best loco they produced, but a start in me getting my roster built back up.

* At my last train show, at Hamburg PA. this Marx Train set box caught me eye. A real nice box. what is in it?

* So the box opened for me. And _________ ?

* What you get for $125. is a Hudson with tender, a matching caboose, both Marx and 5 train cars. A little high till you look and, Oh My. The heavy duty log car is AHM. The silver WP feather box car is Athearn. And the New Haven box car is Tyco. Only the Sears Santa-Fe box car and the Lehigh Valley coal car are Marx. Now it seems to be more like $75. Unless you like the 3 other cars for Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. As is a $100. set. But not for me. I have 6 Hudsons. Maybe next time.

Caboose looks to be Marx too. Definitely not a bad set, but the repalcements would have me negotiating for sure :D
