My SOTW is this set of passenger equipment:

This milk car leads the set. It's an AHM/ROCO refrigerator marked for a dairy load. I wanted metal wheels, and Tyco trucks take Intermountain wheelsets very nicely. It's a simple swap to replace the ROCO ones. The car is converted to body mounted couplers, the roof walk is painted as is the brake wheel, and the car is weathered:

This is a Roundhouse old time mail and baggage car. When I was quite young, my brothers and I each got a roundhouse passenger car. We never got them to run well, but as an adult, I got my brothers' cars fixed up. Due to my youth when I assembled mine, it was a pretty messy lost cause. The cars are repainted.

This Roundhouse coach shares the same story as the baggage car above:

After some recent tinkering, I have them all tuned and able to dependably run on the layout.

A pleasure to view this set Don. That's amazing you held onto those cars since you were a kid. The photo of the set is cool, the way those old mountain trains were short and hauled freight along with passengers.
