Starting off this week's post, is something SO rare, you just don't "see" it that often - the invisible Tyco diesel. Tyco tried selling these, but kept losing track <sic> of them, and people would complain they didn't get their item in the mail, so they gave up. The truly best part of this engine, though, was that it was automatically any road-name you wanted, so it fit perfectly into any model railroad scheme. Alas, being so hard to keep track of, and easily lost, it never caught on. Oh well. At least I have one ( I think? )

Not so rare Varney switcher...now with the proper drive. The one it came with crumbled apart. After receiving a parts lot last year with a Varney drive in it, then having a :"Duh" moment when I realized it may fit this switcher body, the two were properly united as one last week...

Hey Gary, I've got one of those but it was made by Marx. Isn't is sad when a good idea just doesn't make it? LMAO

Yeah, sometimes it's hard to see a concept through ( or see THROUGH a concept, LOL! ). But at least we can admire our wonders and show them off ( sort of ). I like your Marx, it definitely is "geared" towards visual appreciation.

Thanks Richard, I'm still fiddling with this camera. Can't seem to get the close up function to work.

That thing looks absolutely beautiful. Looks like something Mantua could've made in the 90's.
