It looks like they're both the same model. The painted one has had a few modifications made to it. A couple of added lights and a newer type pantograph.

That odd device on the painted one looks like it's maybe a hookup running to another car. I'm pretty sure I've seen photos of Barney and Smith trolleys in two-car lashups.

I'm not super familiar with trolley operations, but I can't see how this would be prototypical. The pantograph works fine in both directions, but a trolley pole has to trail behind its mounting point. If there's ever a situation where you'd need a trolley pole and a pantograph wouldn't work, then you'd need a pole at both ends or you couldn't back up very well.
The car still has the hook for holding down the front pole when the car is going forward, so the car came from the factory with two poles. I think it either needs to have one pantograph or two poles. I'm dubious about one of each.

Obviously the painted trolley has been modified, but I can't see it being completely unrealistic. In theory it would allow the car to travel on tracks which use catenary as well as tracks with only trolley wire. Google turns up a few engines sporting a pole and pantagraph, I can't see why a trolley couldn't use both as well.

Here you go Ken! They seem rare but they're out there. The trolley in the second picture appears to have a pole at each end and a pantagraph in the middle.

The models are exactly like No.64 of Oregon Electric. It was manufactured by Kumata (KMT) in 1961, and 400 were exported to E. Suydam. The photos and data are taken from "The Art of Brass in Model Railroading, volume 1" published in 1982.

I think the "KTM" would be engraved on the surface of the motor. The KTM is a brass model manufacture "Katsumi Model Shop" even now. This is my first comment in this forum. Thanks
