OK, a hundred bucks, is and hundred bucks! I bought all this Friday for $100, and the whole drive back home I kept feeling like the guy took advantage of me. All I wanted was the TYCO postal car, the freight depot, and the Bachmann transporter, but he would not sell separately, it was all or nothing. So I ended up getting the whole lot even though I only collect what I like, all the rest I can care less about. I will end up keeping the transformer, and maybe the other two TYCO cars but everything else I plan on giving to my nephew whom I'm trying to get interested in the hobby. Please, someone tell me it was a good deal.

I think you did just fine for a C note, quite well in fact...been looking to add to my unloading hopper setup if you don't have a better home for it.

Based on train show prices in my area, just the stuff in the bottom picture is worth more than $100...

The four Tyco operating accessories and the Bekins set is your $100, maybe more. The rest is free. Bekins trailers are pretty rare. The Atlas set should be good for about $50 alone, too. 23 $3-$5 frieght cars, three $10-$15 locos and that auto transport car will bring $20 if complete.

So you got a good $250-$300 of stuff for $100, that's not bad.

Yeah, that's pretty good value for a hundred bucks. And your nephew is going to love and thank you forever.

You did very well for just $100 bucks. Instead of giving the stuff you don't want to a kid, you could get you $100 back and probably even make a profit if you list the extra items separately on ebay.
