A bit of a production fault with the tooling that I noticed and only just got round to pointing out.
 Take a good look at the truck as pictured in the instructions: There's a molded tongue protruding from the bolster that keeps the centering spring in the right place so that it actually works.
Now look at the actual production truck: no such tongue in sight, hence why the spring just flops around. I have found, however, that gluing the back of the spring to the bolster seems to solve the problem.
