My lotw is my Mantua 4-4-0 General in the USMRR livery. This loco completed my Civil War Centennial Union set and is now in restoration.
This is last weeks LOTW which has made it thru the workshop and has been restored.

I salute you, General! Way to make it back to active duty status! My LOTW is a bit bigger, just acquired yesterday at my club's Open House train show at an Elk's lodge. I've never been ensnared by American Flyer too much, I liked Lionel's offerings better, but when I saw this beauty in the box, I had to have it! The lady's husband had died, this was their Christmas train for 40+ years she said, and they had no children, so she wanted to pass it on to someone who would appreciate it. Boy, do it! I've never seen a Royal Blue Flyer Hudson before, wow is it gorgeous. I offered her a sum, and she took it. So I'm now the proud owner of an early production 1950's Royal Blue engine and freight cars.

My LOTW is an H0 scale Atlas AEM-7 in MARC livery. I got this beaut at the train show yesterday for $40 practically mint in the box.

Pretty fine Jerry. Be fun to see a video of that pulling the freight.

Nice rehab on that General George. Did you need to replace the lettering and pin striping on the tender?

Pretty nice detail on this unit Steve. Those windshield wipers caught my eye right off the bat, and then the grab irons, and on.

Jerry, D****n, why can't I have train shows around here to pick up that kind of jewel? Really good score there.
Barry, actually, I was able to restore it with the original sticker still attached to the tender. The locomotive got a complete restore tho. Here is a side view of it.

I am having a severe case of "Toaster Envy." Love that Toaster, Kovacste. I have ridden behind it several times on the Northeast Corridor on my way to Grand Central Station Station in NYC. It accelerated fast and pulled fast. A Swedish locomotive.

Ray, I beg to differ. That is a late GP9 or a GP18. Twin exhaust stacks, no fat turbo stack. Forgive me, but I use to read the Diesels Spotters Guide in the head. Great looking model, what brand is it?

Oh and it's a Proto 2000 loco. As much as I like it, I might trade it for a similar ATSF, Espee model.

Going to double dip: this lovely old Tyco Shark failed repeated attempts to restore and/or function properly. Wildecoupe came to my rescue and milled down a Model Power Shark chassis and mated the Tyco shell to make for a beautifully functioning Midnight Special that runs like a Swiss watch.

Well, I've got a Canon can motor with double shafts, two U-jointed shafts with worm gears, and assorted spare gears to make the drivetrain from. I also plan to make custom metal flange-and-tyre pieces for the drivers, then trim and file away the original plastic rims so I can fit those pieces to the driver centers. Pickup wipers will be made from brass paper fasteners.

Super cool old steamer , Zelda!! Nice pics here this week!
I seldom post here because I don't have many engines. However, today I opened my Bubble Yum set box and found this engine I had forgot about. Runs and looks like new. Want to pick up some handrails for it sometime...

In the background of Walt's photo, nice by the way, one can see the dim outlines of street lamps. More proof that Walt has cornered the market on not only street lamps, but all extant Bubble Yum as well.

sometime in #999's life the driving wheels were changed to smaller ones Which is what you sees on 999 today
the model is pretty accurate for driving wheel size
