My AOTW is a Bachmann 0-6-0 USRA loco turned into a factory generator.

Underneath the loco....That's pretty much my only explanation, honestly.

My AOTW are some Tyco Fluorescent lights that I have recently won on Ebay in two auctions. 15 show here but 1 was burned out in the top bunch. Plus after looking I had bought 5 packs over the last year. So I have 24 spares incase some burn out or get damaged...

Train-Miniature in there building and accessory line sold this Coal unloading ramp and platform. It was as made only a non-operating unloader. With the addition of a tyco unloading track that could change.

Interesting piece! I have the Ulrich version and uses the operating 4 bay hoppers. Imagine the tooling for the ramp went to TM. The coal loader was sold and made by Athearn later on. Mine is a earlier Athearn piece and says Ulrich on parts still!

There needs to be a pipe coming out the loco's stack, at the very least. Sprues are good for making pipes.

Frank, I've often thought having an elevated coal trestle would be an interesting addition to a layout and that is a pretty neat little unit you have there. I'm wondering, how it would actually work; regarding the grade change. Maybe a short switch engine? Or pull cars up with a wench? Have you ever set one up to see how it worked?

To sprue or not to sprue, that is the kwestion. Why the
stack? Wouldn't it be easier to have one coming out of
a cylinder feed? The interior of the stack appears to
be white. Must be some very clean coal the boys at the
plant are using there.

Running a pipe through the stack is the simplest way to pick up the steam directly from the boiler. It's what I've seen in pictures of stationary boilers.

And hey, that white might be ash :P

I've heard about using retired steamers for stationary
boilers, but never seen a pic. Have one to post?

My item this week is a Jordan's Highway Miniature Horse drawn hearse that I completed
today. These models are really highly detailed and delicate to boot.

Putting this together was even more challenging than the buildings.

I like the old hearse George! Reminds me of the old plastic model kit called "Boot Hill Express" I believe made by Monogram.

Life-Like also included that in their "Coal Yard" Build-a-Scene kit from the 80s and 90s!
