A Tyco passenger set I painted and decaled for new York Central.

Nicely done. I'm a bit intimidated by decals so I can appreciate the care and effort that must have gone into getting them to look that good. Carpe Manana!

I bought a couple of sets online which arrived today. The first is the Canadian Food Chain Loblaws/Superstore "President's Choice" train set called the "2-6-0 Camelback Express" which was released in 1998. The set was missing the log car and the tank car is missing the railings on one side. I really only wanted it for the locomotive. The set was made by Mehano. Pics:
The second is also a President's Choice set called the "Insider's Express". Here is the box art:
Also made by Mehano. The locomotive is missing the side railings. If anyone has a spare set I'd really appreciate them! This SD-35 is really heavy. It has twin flywheels and I'm told it can pull 40 average HO cars. It will be a while before I can test it as I don't yet have a layout. The box cars (except the orange juice car) that came with the set are different from the box art. I suspect the seller just tossed in what he had lying around.
Sorry for the blurry photo! My favorite pieces. I think these will look really cool once they are weathered! The crane is missing the handle to adjust the boom as well as a piece on the boom that the thread wraps around. Is this the same as the Tyco crane and boom car?

I finally set up an oval of track to test some of my locomotives. The SD-35 is a great runner. I also got my Tyco Via F7 running. The rear wheels were seized to the chassis from corrosion! I got everything cleaned up and lubed and now it runs like new.
