I've wanted to have at least one set of double-stack container cars for a while now. I bought a set of Athearn Gunderson Maxi-III shells off eBay with my Christmas money, since it was cheap and I happened to have some spare pairs of trucks I could use to get them rolling. When the seller said "shells only", they meant it. No walkways or other details (but I can easily take care of that later), and no connectors. I researched the kit to see what the connector parts looked like, and in doing this research discovered that apparently, modification to how they joined to the Jacobs bogies (the shared trucks) would be necessary for them to more readily handle 18" radius curves.
So, I've been building eye connectors that are meant to slip over a post at either end of a plate glued to the top of each shared truck. That should increase the flexibility enough.

Update time: Got all the connectors built, and the set can indeed navigate 18" radius curves.

Is it a single-car Husky Stack or an articulated Maxi-Stack set?
In any case, this lot didn't come with trucks or couplers either. I supplied the trucks from my existing parts, and have yet to fit couplers.
