As always, it's worth what someone pays for it. Other than that I'm not knowledgeable to know it's value to a collector.
But that said, I think it's a fair price, if the locomotives run and you like it! The $50 for shipping sounds a bit steep though....

That appears to be a brass CP loco. Red Ball maybe. The Duluth boxcar is also Lionel I don't know. What would anyone else say this is worth?

$200 CDN, that's only $140 US. Well worth it I would say.

Sounding even better. I like all the locomotives in the lot, especially the CP and the NH electric.

Moderator note: Why is this here. There is a individual section on Lionel Ho trains cars and accessories.
Thanks guys! I pulled the trigger on it. I should have it by sometime next week. Yee haw! I found a photo of the Lionel set on HOSEEKER. It's from 1959! $29.95 was a lot of clams back then!

The NH Rectifier is a collectible locomotive. That shell was one of the few that was never reproduced in the Athearn BB series of locomotives. It is very rear in HO scale. Look on EBay and it goes for a high dollar. If that is the Lionel chicken car and the lights work it is also somewhat collectible. Bachmann makes a repo now that is close.
Most of the Lionel HO items were made by Athearn and re-branded. For locomotives Lionel often only received the shells from Athearn. The rectifier was a unique one as it was made to match an O scale model at the time.

I was about to comment that I haven't found Lionel HO to be all that expensive at shows in Virginia....but then the mention of the E33 NH Rectifier brought me up cold. Yeah, those are highly sought after, I just bought an E33 at a show last year for $25, repainted. I should have bought the 2nd one they had, too. They're hard to find, and I can imagine the NH one is far more so. So for what you're paying, you are probably getting a good deal , or at least a fair one. Nice find!

Well, the seller reneged on the deal. I told him I wanted them. He gave me a total. I told him I'd E-transfer the money when I got home from work. I get an email at 1:00: "Sorry, someone came with cash and bought it all"
