I need a good memory jog as to who made these trucks and which locomotive
they were used on. I've seen them before, but it has been a long time and I've
slept a few times since then. I believe they were used by either Marx or Revell
on their F series locos. They were held in place, by the brass tabs,
on either the body or frame by round knobs that were molded in.

I had bits and pieces of a Marx locomotive that had trucks like that. Mine no longer had the motor on the one truck and had a cylindrical steel weight on the other.

The spur gears on the ends had a hollow space in them to accept the end of a dog bone drive shaft. I assume the truck without the motor was driven from the one with a motor through a shaft.

Marx, Gilbert used a similar set up in their F3's from 1961 to 1963.

Thanks. I thought it might be the Marx, but like I said, it's been a long time ago
and I've slept a few times since then. Yes, the gears are set up to accept a
"dog bone" drive shaft.
