from a fantasy Conrail paint job. Nice Model Power, purchased New in Box last week. Motor and transmission very recently professionally cleaned and oiled. Needs air horns and a front coupler. Weighs a lot and has a big, honkin' motor. Runs smooth as silk. The die cast frame has the rear couple of millimeters shaved off and the tabs to clip the shell on were shaved off. I was trying to use it for a Tyco Shark Shell, but it does not fit unless I had a lathe and could shave down the entire perimeter. What can I get for this in trade?
Surprise me. I don't need another locomotive, I'd be interested in Tyco rolling stock, or even Life Like. Lately I'm on a gondola jag: seeking Tyco or old Life Like with those awful plastic load inserts, maybe four? Or some Conrail rolling stock. I'm also on a Conrail jag these days. Also like Penn Central and Boston and Maine, or something Billboard that I don't have. Shoot me an offer. Or I WILL condemn this thing to Conrail!!! Oh, the horror! Oh, the shame!
In its current state it is undecorated black. No, I don't need another PC unit!

So nobody wants my poor little Shark. I'm gonna turn her into PC and weather the living daylights out of her! Gonna make her the dog of my next dog train! Gonna make her look so old and neglected gonna get calls from the MRHS (Model Rail Humane Society)!

Chops if you're going the old/neglected route PC would probably be your best bet
I'd trade for it but I either got nothing you want or if I do, I want it too.
You mentioned shaving some of the rear chassis and mounting tabs off - does the shell have any way to stay on now?

| I'd love to give that shark a new home, but not sure what I'd be able to trade you for it. Other than the 2 loads. But I need another diesel like Micro needs another thingamabob or whitchamacallit.

I am pondering. If I could find someone with a lathe, I could narrow the chassis and plant my Tyco shark shell upon it, which is why I got it originally. Let me get back to you on it. My NIB Tyco Shark pancake motor has been rebuilt once, it blew the traction tires, and now a wire came off.

| If you have a bench grinder, you could grind some for the metal off. You shouldnt have to take too much off to get it to fit.

Good fodder for my ongoing Pennsy RP25 passenger shark build... if there weren't any takers I have plenty of rolling stock to trade

It was re-incarnated with a Midnight Special shell with help from Wildcoupe. It can be seen in action under TF Railroader News.
