Sadly killing a deer with our van netted me another repair job. Blowing two airbags and locking the seatbelts in place, the repair estimate was nearly $12,000.00. Hard to believe but the huge labor costs and the money I can save buying nice used OEM parts is going to buy me quite a bit of hobby stuff. Haveta get a new Shinohara double crossover and the RipMax Power supply that the Dayton Hobby Shop said would power all my lights on the layout, and probably more...

Both my wife & I were wearing the belts. We hit the deer hard enough that it blew two airbags and locked the seatbelts. New cars when you hit something, the seatbelts lock in place, but have to be replaced after that. They no longer retract back in...
