Ken I don't remember seeing that name before, though I may have seen it in a Walters Catalog. The only thing I can say or ask is the box say UP and the model is C&O. Maybe it isn't even a RAAX Model, but something else just put in the box. I am only saying that because I do that a lot. Bowser made that model of 34' 2 bay hopper, open and covered with sides like that.

Ken now that I see the bottom it is a Athearn hopper car. It has Kadee trucks and couplers. Some one painted it black and put C&O decals on it. The cover is probably the new tooling. Maybe repainted by last owner. Its a nice car. You got a good one.

The Ramax Co. only ever made one model, a 2-Bay Centerflow Hopper, for a few years in the mid-80s before (I think) being gobbled up by Walthers. The car there is an Athearn offset-side twin with a custom roof that appears to be modified from an E&B Valley kit. IMO it's actually a much more interesting car than the one that's supposed to be in that box. I have a spare Ramax centerflow shell in C&O Chessie paint left over from building one of those cars if anyone can use it.
