US Army 101 is a 2-8-0 steam locomotive that was originally operated by the United States Army. It is one of two survivors of the 1,500 General Pershing locomotives built in 1916–1918 for the War Department in World War I. The 101 went on to see action in three wars — World War I, World War II, and the Korean War.

The Railway Operating Division (ROD) was a division of the Royal Engineers formed in 1915 to operate railways in the many theatres of the First World War. It was largely composed of railway employees and operated both standard gauge and narrow gauge railways

That is one the engines built here and sent there in 1918 to help with the war effort. Many were ordered. Others were built and sent over to move war supplies, and remained there after the war to help rebuild the devastation of war, and keep the people supplied with food. I Painted 2 Rivarossi 2-8-0's for the USRA as they leased them in country very early in the war. All were collected and sent to England and France. I repainted and kitbashed 2 Russian decapods in USRA paint.
