I've never assembled a Tichy car kit, but I have assembled their Archbar trucks and they are really nice.
My contribution for this week is an early version of the Union Hospital car.

* Here is a old Varney metal Reefer car. Illinois Central , You car tell it is old by the Mantua hook and loop couplers used on it. Does anyone know if anybody makes these plastic ladders for the Varney cars anymore? It is common to find them missing ladders. frank

Hi Frank, Do you have a better picture of the ladder you're looking for?

Here's something unusual - I got this from an estate lot at my model shop job, I saw the box, hmm...took out the car, it says Mantua on the bottom?! So did Mantua do the Hooker chemicals tanker for the company custom for them? This would seem to be the case. The box is made for Hooker . Pretty interesting...are these Mantua versions rare? I'll bet the box is! Now I gotta figure out what it's worth to buy it from the guy at the shop.

Really great contributions. You guys are taking off the wraps and letting it fly! My blurry shot is of some of my favorite pieces: Dots and Sanka.
