Getting a head above the rest today, I finally scored an HO scale Lionel giraffe car, for $10, BIN on Ebay. Been wanting one of these, but wasn't gonna pay a ridiculous price for one, so when I saw this one, I grabbed at the chance. No long shot wait here! Pretty cool car, I intend to make a wild animal train eventually. Not necessarily a Circus train, although I can use it for my Royal American train I have as well.

My COTW for this week is an AHM made in Taiwan AL&S box car. Very interesting railroad name, haven't heard of it often.

I live close to the A&S mainline and I get to see it often. It is very short in length, about twelve miles give or take from East St. louis to Mitchell Illinois. The operate a major classification yard in East St. Louis that handles the bulk of train blocking in the region.

Theyre still around? I didn't know, I figured they merged with Penn Central or something.
