On my way home from work, there is a house with a large dumpster in the driveway. Looks to be a family disposing of an estate prior to selling the house. They have a small table down by the road that they have been putting free stuff on. Yesterday it was mostly books, nothing really good. Today was another story! I am on my Honda Rebel motorcycle, and what do I see, a whole bunch of brown Tyco boxes. I did a quick U turn and road right up to the table. I made sure it was free, thanked them and stuff it all in my saddle bags!!!. See the pic to see what I got. Looks to have been hardly ever run. No track, not that I need anymore brass sectional track. I have a whole bunch now!

Cool! When they're free it doesn't matter what color the boxes are!

It's nice to hear they're putting stuff on the curb for people to take before throwing it directly in the dumpster. I'm sure loads of Tyco trains have met their demise that way. Nice score!

Good job on picking those up, man. Especially in that condition.

"A lot of modellers out there who go to these train shows see broken HO stuff and go, 'This is useless' when, in reality, they can still be used for modeling whether it's as a prop on your layout or a cool project to make something old new again."
