I bought a basket case Proto 2000 SD7 last year at a swap meet. All that was missing was one set of wheels.
It is a great running locomotive.

Does anybody know... I seem to recall that the Life-Like Proto 2000 SD-7 and/or SD-9 got some knocks originally for having its coupler pockets sticking out too far from the pilots...was this ever corrected???
