Trolling about El Paso, in the 100+ heat, I stumbled over this Vintage '70's and '80's hobby shop. You can look up web address and phone number if interested. The place is jammed floor to rafters with NIB collectibles from that period, including a lot of Matchboxes, among other things. They had an interesting array of Tyco- and Lionel, as shops go. Prices high end of retail, but got the feeling he'd discount on multiple items.

Being a bit lazy: it is www.davenales.com for the corresponding photos.
Hal's Hobby Warehouse is www.halshobbyhouse.com. Hal's doesn't have an overwhelming model train stock (mostly RC Air and Wheel), but he does have a signifigant stock of high end HO Athearn in Mexican roadnames if you feel like going South of the Border.
He also has a chunk of HO Marklin, NIB, recent vintage, that he can't get rid of, and might take an offer. I think he got it at an estate sale, or something.
