Has a American Flyer boiler and tender. The chassis has me stumped. It's a smooth runner at best with a nice slow speed crawl. Worm gear directly contacts the axle gear. Not a Mantua by any means.

Stephen, it's a MDC Roundhouse to a degree. Seems the chassis and motor is that of a 0-6-0T "Yard Hog" 1989 and up model. I'm guessing the valve gear is either scratch build or from another engine.

MDC has got to be my best guess unless you show what the motor looks like.

Updates: Chassis is verified to be a Roundhouse chassis. Has possibly Kemtron brass cylinders and has the rare Kemtron Walscherts valve gear.

Oh, okay. So it's a kit bash using MDC Roundhouse, Kemtron, and American Flyer parts.

Your 0-6-0 is a Gilbert PRR B6. The only thing I see different is someone changed the valve gear, and what they but in is wrong. 2 of the rods are to long for this 0-6-0. frank
