I finished these today.... All Athearn Sw7's, 2- Cows and 2- Calf's in the NJ Transit scheme.
These are painted with Testor's Semi-Gloss Black and finished with a coating of a Testor's mix I made up of 50/50 of Dullcoat and Gloss Coat then thinned with about 40% laquer thinner. The handrails are painted in Testor's Mango (orange) and finished with Testor's Dullcoat. The decals are Microscale NJ Transit MC-4152.

Well, very nice work as usual from this backshop. They look great.
Reminds me of the pile of SW-7 cow and calves that I have earmarked for B&O and C&O paint jobs.

Really good paint job there. Have a question tho. How does the Testor compare to the old Floquil as to application and filling in details? I am gonna have to find something due to Floquil not being produced any more and the supply is very quickly disappearing.

I like the Testor's enamel alot better. It isn't as grainy as Floquil. The testor's is too thick to run thru an air brush and has to be thinned a little. I use ordorless mineral spirits too thin the paint. There are alot more color variations available.
NOTE: In the pics I posted, some of the white NJT decals look crooked. I assure everyone they are not. I am a fusspot when I do these models and if there is a flaw I re-do it completely.

THIS is why I'd have you do a Tyco SOO Line boxcar with BnL on it & do the exact locos from Silver Streak movie Plus a HO Lionel caboose for my RailScope locos hehe

I have an E60CF to finish painting, an Amtrak SW7 MoW Calf to decal , and a SP AC4400 patched to UP to decal and then I am retiring from painting. I have a secret project that is almost finished too but that will be the last one as I am saving the best for last........
I have decided to pursue other summer interests I haven't done in the last two years. I started running again today. I want to go back to roller blading and riding my Mountain Bike again. I also have a new hobby "treasure hunting" with a White's Metal Detector. Also, I am trying to relocate to Va, if I can find a job there......
