Hi everyone. I'm Brad. I've been a retail collectibles dealer near Boston since 1985. I specialize in coins, comic books and sports collectibles. I opened a new store in an antiques mall last year and since then, I've become the go to guy for every picker in the area and have expanded my inventory to just about every kind of collectible there is. A few days ago a guy brought in a huge collection of early 1970s AHM and Tycho trains and accessories, so I'm trying to take a crash course in model train collecting and found this forum.
I've been throwing them up on ebay as fast as I can, but someone just contacted me and offered me a lot more than I thought a train was worth if I would sell it to him outright. When things kike that happen, I immediately get suspicious that he knows something I don't, which isn't a stretch since I don't know much. It's a Quaker Chemical tanker number 324D. I'm going to post about it in the appropriate forum to see if anyone can tell me what I'm missing. In the meantime I look forward to learning more about model trains.

Welcome to the forum. I look forward to what you'll post here.

"A lot of modellers out there who go to these train shows see broken HO stuff and go, 'This is useless' when, in reality, they can still be used for modeling whether it's as a prop on your layout or a cool project to make something old new again."
