Looks good John, very believable. Is that a white or solver band on the bottom?

Jerry,
The paint is silver, this was a standard scheme for the Denver and Rio Grande. I have Bachmann units to modify. I am hoping to just remove the factory letters and replace them with custom decals. We shall see, after this never ending move is done.

Regards, John

OK, was going to say I would choose silver for that myself. That's a smart way to do it I think, modifying an existing scheme - and it is one of the better-looking ones out there.
I can certainly relate to your moving woes - things are moving excruciatingly slow for us. Hope yours are resolved very soon.

| I'll be looking forward to photos of your finished work John. Even while I'm modeling steam era stuff, those diesels have some fine color schemes and I have a certain fondness for the Denver & Rio Grande from it's history of being the first train I believe to come to our town of Manitou Springs as the Denver and Rio Grande West in 1880 something or other. There was a "ski" train run out of Denver recently. I guess there's some thought being given to resuming that regular service.

Barry, Here is first set delivered to the T&RGRR. Not very good pictures.

This scheme is similar to the early D&RGRR Scheme.
I will try to document the new set when I get to work on it.

| Those are both really nice liveries. But since you already have the DR&GW paint, go for it.

Have to say this is my favorite scheme John. Reminds me of the black/gold Monon scheme.

You're right. It does look like Monon locks.

Conner, It was this picture, I had forgot about it. I am old and I not sure what I had for breakfast this morning. This was the original idea, but I needed FTs as my time period is WWII.
