ok was just watching the segment on the layout in the movie just now hehe
Locos are a steam loco 4-6-2 & a Alco RS-1? in Lehigh Valley Railroad
Still trying to figure out the cars

THIS the reason I needs the Classic Toy Trains Mag of Dec 1991

This is the repop TV house by Playing Mantis SEALED
But it should work for doing it in HO scale

Will have someone paint this at a later date

Pic of layout Shamelessly stolen from the Net

Well because of how Lionel 027 layouts work
Some tracks will be modified to work for HO
Of course the place where Gomez sits will be covered with a town or something

Someone recreated the TV Show's layout
http://www.toytrains.info/info.asp?t=Trackage&colnum=10&submit=go

Someday I will do this IF I get a bigger house

All locos in the movie were NOT actual Lionel locos they were props to explode

Really? They weren't actual Lionel locos? They look like it to me.Still, I hope this idea actually gets through.

"A lot of modellers out there who go to these train shows see broken HO stuff and go, 'This is useless' when, in reality, they can still be used for modeling whether it's as a prop on your layout or a cool project to make something old new again."

nopes Stand-Ins built at the SFX Dept

jbsmith966 - You WOULD find that footage

but the movie layout was twice as big as the one in the TV show
Also the layout shows were Gomez makes his millions

Layout scene from the movie!
